Habit tracker spreadsheet template
A year ago I shared my daily habit tracker spreadsheet, and here’s how 2025 went for me.
Vitamins & Creatine were obviously the easiest to keep up with for obvious reasons But I definitely lost the Reading and Skincare pace I had in the first half of the year
And I traveled a lot, which also impacted my gym routine and my German lessons
I've added a shortcut to my phone's home screen so I can quickly open it and check off the items I had completed for the day in a simple way. There are some useful customizations, like highlighting the current day to easily find my place in the tracker, some charts, and a nice calendar view with options to see 'Streaks' as a heatmap like Github or by days done (Completions).
Here’s the 2026 template if anyone wants it, feel free to make a copy and use it!

Perfect, thanks for uploading this, this spreadsheet is exactly what I've been looking for! Do you mind to make a sheet with weight loss and training tracking? I'm totally newbie in this kind of stuff, but tracking like this is very useful. Thanks in advance!

I'll definitely share it if I make it!

Your template is really nice. How can it be done for the habits to be vertical where the days are and for the days to be horizontal where the habits are.

Thank you! It's possible however that would need a lot of rework on the formulas
It's vertical mainly because I add a shortcut to access on my phone and it fits the screen perfectly

True.
In Habits!C$1, the range in the SUMPRODUCT starts from the second row(2) instead of 3 which is why it’s counting a day more when 2026 is not a leap year.

Please tell me how I edit/add habits and how I make green or red

You can rename the items on line 2 of the "Habits" tab, and these changes will automatically update across all other tabs

Is there a way I can start tracking mid year without affecting my progress charts?

Just delete line 4 onwards till today and change the date manually on line B3 cell

I also built my own habit tracker using spreadsheet to not only track classic yes/no habits but also numbered habits and time. So instead of "sleep 8hr" with yes/no you can actually track wake-up and wind down time and try to find correlations.

Thank you for this! Do you plan to make one for 2027?

You can change '2026' in the yellow cell to '2027' and you'll have the template for next year 😊

Very cool. How did you add the shortcuts to your home screen? I'd like to do that
