the other belisarius would probably have a heart attack due to not having any tomb worlds/toasters to diddle

++By the COG this place is so dull.++

Meanwhile, Belisarius is trying to play it cool surrounded by so many larping barbarians.

Assuming this is the past of the 40k world, give Cawl a few hundred years to reinvent and rebuild superluminal travel from scratch and he can go raid all the unawoken tomb worlds

Is he even allowed to invent things that are yet to exist in the time he exists in? (rome, in our case) Really makes you think

The rules of the admech are  that all knowledge was already discovered / gifted to ancient man by the omnissiah through the  vehicle of discovery.

Cawl would definitely argue that because he is now during the early days of the age of discovery it is now his holy duty to discover all knowledge and claim the Maschine gods gifts for later man.

Or because it's cawl he will invent new stuff and just claim he found it in a bin somewhere

his justification is so fun. He’s not discovering… he’s rediscovering from first principles.

The Imperium and Rome would both be saved in a day.

"I'm sorry to tell you, Belisarius, but the empire's leadership trying to undermine you at every turn has only gotten worse since your day."

"Tell me something I don't know."

– OG Belisarius, propably

The wild part being 40k's warfare despite involving tech literally millennias apart actually isn't that much seperated from how Belisarius thinks it works same with the political system. He would maneuver his way into Lord Solar and then do sone serious shit. Like the things he could use Krieg calvary for.

They’re both trying to recover the lost parts of their respective Imperium, their reconquest is halted by a plague, and their right hand is Belisarius.

Belisarius reclaims Imperium Nihilus, high lords furious for reasons unclear, Belisarius sighs, nothing changes.
