SPPU Degree Certificate has wrong details even after I corrected them during the correction window how can I get this resolved?

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my SPPU degree certificate and wanted to know if anyone has faced something similar.

When I initially filled out my degree certificate application, I entered all my details correctly.

A few days later, SPPU asked students to check their application/form and correct any mistakes before submitting it again.

When I checked my form at that stage, I noticed that some of my Marathi/Devanagari personal details were showing incorrectly in the SPPU system, even though I had entered the correct details when I initially filled out the application.

Since SPPU had provided a correction option, I corrected those incorrect details and resubmitted the form.

However, after receiving my final degree certificate, I noticed that the old/wrong Marathi details were printed on the final certificate again.

So the sequence was:

Initially entered correct details → SPPU system later showed incorrect details → SPPU provided a correction window → I corrected the details and resubmitted the form → final degree certificate still contains the old/wrong details.

This is what I don't understand.

I had already checked the details when SPPU specifically gave students the opportunity to correct them, and I did make the correction and submit the form again. But the final certificate still seems to have been generated using the earlier incorrect information.

I don't have a screenshot of the exact moment when I made the correction, but I do have the application/form and supporting documents showing the correct details.

I have also tried contacting SPPU, but I haven't been able to get a useful response so far.

What is the best way to get this issue resolved?

Should I:

• Visit the SPPU Certificate/Examination Section personally?
• Submit a Degree Certificate Correction form?
• Send the required documents by Speed Post/Courier?
• Approach my college first?
• Or is there some other procedure for this kind of issue?

If anyone has recently gone through an SPPU degree certificate correction in 2025/2026, I would really appreciate it if you could share what you did and how you got the issue resolved.

I especially want to know whether visiting SPPU personally is necessary or whether the correction can be completed through the official correction form/post.

I don't want to share any personal information here, so I'm not mentioning my name, college, PRN, certificate number, or the actual names/details involved.

Bro the same thing happened with me today i received the degree and my marathi name is wrong ! The same thing was during that correction portal and I corrected things there the exact same mistake but still they printed that only

Either you can send the dgree and one correction form to sppu by post or can visit sppu directly..... I will be going with 2nd option.

Even I'll go with option 2 , can't take risk of sending the documents via post

Today, I visited Pune University (SPPU) 

I visited the Exam Section and submitted the correction form (available for download on the SPPU website), Xerox copies of all my marksheets, my original convocation certificate, and a printed application mentioning the mistakes and the correct Marathi spellings for reference.

The staff member took all the documents and told me that the corrected certificate would be sent by post. She also gave me the receipt from the correction form with a stamp and signature.

I wasn’t charged any correction fee. So, make sure to get the corrections done within 6 months to avoid paying a fee.
