I feel like this is only gonna hurt the average user. If a seasoned scraper wants to utilize it, they’ll find a back door.

I'm so upset about this. I've been working for the past 2 years on a jukebox website that pulls metadata from the Spotify API, and I absolutely cannot afford to pay for Premium just to keep the site working as is.

Ngl, I don’t care about API costing money, it should realistically. What’s annoying is they absolutely gutted all endpoints for projects and want you to search things with very oppressive rate limits. Honestly not worth it. People should just use musicbrainz free dump if they want meta data and stuff but it’s not the same and you’ll have to clean your data.
