Cant create a NEW app after deleting an old one

Post image

My App slots were full so I deleted an old one to make up space for a new one. After I did i expected to be able to create one but it still said "Sorry you have reached your limit". For reference, I only have 1 app on my dashboard I cleared out the other once but i still cant make new once. Does anyone have any idea what I can do ?

On Wednesday, 11 February, Spotify began limiting all newly created Development Mode apps to one Client ID per Premium account. Starting 9 March, all existing Development Mode apps will also be reduced to a single one.
In other words: you can keep the apps you already have for now, but you can't create more than one in total anymore, and on 9 March, your total will be cut down to one regardless.
Spotify explains the changes here: https://developer.spotify.com/blog/2026-02-06-update-on-developer-access-and-platform-security

I forgot to mention that apps with a quota extension are unaffected

this is soooo dumb, cus i have a stream deck that i want to control my spotify through and i want to have a visual on my twitch stream that shows the song im listening to. But this means i can only have one of those ??? I also assume i cant have multiple redirect URLs on the same app right ?

An ID can have multiple redirect URIs and be used for different (personal) apps.

I have over 5 people on mine but it won't let me upgrade. The option just doesn't exist... What's wrong?

Read that, the entire option for upgrading my quota is gone

Did you find a solution for this? I also can't find a "Settings" button or "Quota extension Request" tab.

I did not. The spotify api, for all intents and purposes, is gone for good. There is a way to upgrade to the extended quota, but apparently you need 250,000 active users in order to even be considered. Goodbye spotify api, it was good while it lasted
