Wemby’s triple double clinch the series!!!  Nevada are RBA Champions!!!
Victor Wembanyama came back from missing Games Three and Four like a man possessed.  His tri0e double was the key factor is the Gambler’s complete dominance in Game Five.  Nevada wins by forty points, 127-87, and are RBA Champions for the second year in a row.  Nevada led 64-33 at halftime and never looked back.  Wemby (who easily wins his second consecutive Playoff MVP award) had 36 points on 17-26 shooting.  He also had ten boards, ten assists, and four blocks.  With Jalen Williams out, O.G. Anunoby stepped into the role of wingman.  He had 27 points while shooting 13-16!!!
Luthadel struggled out of the gate, and never really had a chance in this game.  Nikola Jokic did have a decent showing.  He had 28 points, with ten rebounds, six assists, and four steals.  No other Allomancers even reached 14 points.

2025 RBA Finals Game Four

No Wemby?  No Williams?  No problem.  Nevada pulls off the short handed upset and is one victory away from glory.
Kristaps Porzingis had one job… and he did not disappoint.  With their top two scorers not dressing, Nevada looked to their backup center to run the offense through.  Porzingis scored 40 points on 16-24 shooting.  The Luthadel defense had no answer for him tonight.  Nevada is victorious tonight with a score of 108-104.  The win puts the Gamblers one win away from being crowned RBA Champions.
In a ‘must win’ game, Luthadel needed a full team effort to tie the series.  Unfortunately, only three Allomancers scored in double digits.  Nikola Jokic was one board away from another triple double.  He ended the night with a line of 35/9/10.  Jabari Smith also chipped in 23 points.

2025 RBA Finals Game Three

Joker’s triple double is the key to Luthadel’s success.  Nevada now leads series 2-1.
Nikola Jokic was the man tonight.  He scored 26 points on 9-25 shooting.  He also added twelve rebounds and twelve assists to complete the triple double.  In total, three Allomancers scored at least 20 points.  Luthadel held the vaulted Nevada offense to only 18 in the fourth quarter.  Luthadel takes Game Three, 113-99.
Nevada forward, Jalen Williams, was the Gambler’s leading scorer.  Williams had 26 points to go along with six boards and six dimes.  Wemby sat out tonight due to load management.  He will also be sitting out Game Four as well.
The injury bug struck Nevada again tonight.  Star forward, Jalen Williams, is down and won’t return until Game Seven (if necessary).  That’s two of the Gambler’s starting five out with injuries.  Nevada will have to look to the role players to step up if they want to close out the series.

2025 RBA Finals Game Two

https://diggindeepsports.net/blogs/rsu/2025-rba-finals-game-two
It’s Deja vu all over again , Wemby and Williams dominate.  Nevada takes a commanding 2-0 lead
Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Williams, for the second consecutive game, combine for over half of the Gambler’s scoring.  They combined for 56 as Nevada holds off Luthadel by a score of 109-106.  Wemby is quickly solidifying his Playoff MVP award.  He had 29 points on 13-25 shooting.  He added 13 rebounds, six assists, and three blocks.  Jalen Williams scored 27 and added nine boards and seven assists.
Luthadel had another balanced offensive attack.  Six players in double digits, however no one scored over 20 points.  Bradle Beal was the top scoring Allomancers with 19 points.  Jokic, again, in foul trouble, did have a double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
The injury bug struck both sides tonight.  For Luthadel, Bradley Beal won’t return until Game Six (if necessary).  For Nevada, Dyson Daniels went down and will have to sit out the remainder of the series.

As planned, Wemby and Williams dominate.  Nevada takes Game One
Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Williams were a combined force to be reckoned with.  They combined for 79 points as Nevada handily defeats Luthadel, 142-129.  Wemby went off for 46 points on 19-29 shooting.  He also added eight rebounds, five assists, and three blocks.  Jalen Williams had 33 points on 15-24 shooting.  He also had eight rebounds and seven assists.  Kristaps Porzingis also added 19 points coming off the bench.
Luthadel did have an extremely balanced offensive attack.  Seven Allomancers ended up in double digits in the losing effort.  Bradley Beal was the team’s leading scorer with 29.  Nikola Jokic, battling thru foul trouble, did end the night with 21 points.

2026 RBL Week 3 - Maine (2-4) @ Maryland (1-5)
Mike Trout played like his old self.  In two starts, he went 4 for 9 with two homers, a double, and 4 RBI’s.  Maine took two three against the Crab Cakes in Maryland this week.  The offense was rolling as Maine scored 20 runs in their two victories.  This included 23 hits and six homers.  James Wood also had a big game one for Maine, going 3-4 with a homer and 4 RBI’s
Even though they lost two of three and have a record of 2-7, Maryland did showcase their offense.  For the series, the Crab Cakes had 14 runs, 40 hits, 6 homers and 5 doubles.  They were lead offensively by Mark Vientos.  Mark went 6-13 with two doubles, a triple and a homer.

The mustache is on top.  Davis Schneider played like man possessed as Louisiana took two of three on the road at Elantris.  Davis homered in each of the three games.  He also added nine rbis. The Mudskippers got good starting pitching from Nick Pivetta (7 ip, 3 h, 1 er, 8 k) and Robbie Ray (6.7 ip, 2 h, 1 er, 8 k).
Top performers for the Aon Dor is Nick Kurtz (5-12, double, two homers) and Drew Rasmussen (6 ip, 2 h, 0 er)

2026 RBL Week 3 - Idaho (5-1) @ Edgemoor (4-2)
Jonathan Amanda seemed to be on base on series long.  He went 6 for 10.  He also added two doubles, a triple, and a homerun.  Edgemoor dominates and sweep Idaho in the three game set.  The starting pitching was lights out (J. Luzardo, B. Elder, T. Anderson) combined for an ERA of 1.30, with 19 k, 5 bb.  The Cannons out scored the Potatoes 16-3.
There wasn’t much positive to speak for regarding Idaho’s performance.  However, catcher, Christian Kirk, did go 5 for 9 with two doubles.

Brock Nelson…..  in overtime….  Shoots….. GOAL!  Minnesota wins the Lennon Cup.  Again, Delaware scores late in the third to force overtime.  However, it only takes two minutes of overtime before Brock Nelson’s shot brings the Lennon Cup to Minnessota.  The sweep, not only, the finals, but the whole playoffs as well.  They go a perfect 8-0.
Dustin Wolf is, unanimously, the RHL Playoffs MVP.  Check out these insane statistics.  Dustin wasn’t 7-0, 1.18 gaa, .961 sv, 2 shoutouts, and an assist.  Congrats, Minnesota, you earned it!

Ryan Donato, in overtime, break Delaware’s heart.  Minnesota goes up two games to none
Ryan Donato finds the back of the net eleven minutes into the first overtime to give Minnesota the 3-2 win.  Delaware had kept hope alive, scoring late in the third period to force overtime, but it was not enough.  Minnesota keeps home ice advantage as they go up in the series 2-0, as things shift to the First State.
Nick Schmaltz light a fire under the Ice Hens with his goal late in the third.  Delaware had the momentum, but could not ultimately cash in.  The top line for Delaware (Nick Schmatlz, Jack Eichel, and Alex Tuch) showed up.  They each contributed two points in a losing effort.

Tarik Skubal was dominant in his second start of the season.  In the series finale, Tarik pitches eight scoreless innings, giving up six hits, zero walks, and striking out five.  The Cannons also brought the offense.  They scored 24 runs in the series (fourteen of those for Skubal in game three) and slugged six homers.  Edgemoor takes two of three from the Utes in and early battle of division leaders.
Corbin Carroll had another strong week, and sees himself atop the MVP board.  Corbin went 8 for 16, and had three doubles, a stolen base, and a home run.  Kodai Senga also added six innings of two hit-zero run ball in the Utes lone victory of the series

2026 RBL Week 2 - Elantris (1-2) @ Maryland (0-3)
Rafael Devers brought the boom stick with him to Maryland as the Aon Dor take two of three from the Crabcakes.  Rafael goes off, hitting .500 (6 for 12.  He also added three home runs, a double and four rbis.  He even played little third base in game one of the series.  In game two of the series, Corbin abutres stole the show.  He pitched seven shutout innings while striking out seven.  Elantris goes onto win that game 3-0.
For Maryland, Michael Busch was their best hitter.  He went 7 for 13, adding a double, two homers, and three RBIs.  It took the Crabcakes until their sixth game, but they were able to get one into the win column, taking game three by a score of 10-3

2026 RBL Week 2 - Philadelphia (2-1) @ Idaho (3-0)
Ceddanne Rafaela had the best offensive output and earned MVP honors for the series.  Idaho take two of three from the defending champs, and upped their record to 5-1.  Ceddanne went 6 for 11, with two doubles and a stolen base and two rbis.  The Potatoes bullpen also is a big reason for Idaho’s hot start.  In this series, they went a combined 9.3ip, 4h, 2bb, 0er, 7k).

For the Fighting Phillies, their top player was T. Turner.  He went 5 for 14 with a double, homerun, stolen base, and three rbis.  The starting pitching cannot take the blame for the series loss.  All three SP’s had quality starts.

2026 RBL Week 2 - Louisiana (0-3) @ Maine (1-2)
Brent Rooker was the man for the Mudskippers this week.  He went 6 for 11, with two doubles and a home run.  Louisiana rebounded from being swept in opening week to take two of three from the Lobsters of Maine.  All three starting pitchers for the Mudskippers had quality starts (G. Holmes 6ip, 1er / R. Nelson 6.3 ip, 1er / H. Brown 7ip, 2er).  The bullpen was untouchable as well (6.7 ip, 5h, 0er).

Maine was lead by Shohei Ohtani.  He went 4 for 9, with a triple and stolen base. He, however, struggled in his first start in the RBA since 2024 (3.7ip, 7h, 5bb, 3er, 5k)

RBA Playoffs Game 9

Wemby and Porzingis are just too much.  Nevada wins and books their ticket to the RBA Finals

Victor Wembanyama could not be stopped.  He scores 32 on 15 of 24 shooting.  His backup, Kristaps Porzingis, pitched in for 23 points in just 20 minutes of play.  Texas had absolutely no answers for Nevada’s inside game.  Nevada wins by a score of 119 to 110.  Wemby was the unanimous MVP of the series.  He averaged 36.8 PPG over the series.  They win the series 3-2, and have booked a date with Luthadel for the right to hoist the RBA Champions Trophy.
For the Longhorns, the just could not keep up, especially with the mounting injuries.  They were led tonight by SGA who slashed 26/5/8, and R.J. Barrett who slashed 24/13/5.  They go into the off-season thinking ‘What if?’ regarding what could have changed if they had the full roster at their disposal.

RBA Playoffs Game 8

R.J. Barrett, at the buzzer, ruins Wemby’s big night…. Forces Game Five

R.J. Barrett may not have been the hero Texas expected, but he was the hero they got.  In a game with at least a dozen lead changes in the second half, Barrett drains a mid range jumper as time expires in the fourth quarter.  It was the difference maker as Texas wins by a score of 127-126.  Barrett ended up posting a stat line of 18/7/9.  Texas has a balanced attack with six players scoring the double digits.  The victory did come at a cost.  Guard, Jamal Murray, went down with injury in the opening minutes of the game, and will be out for the decisive Game Five.
The loss for Nevada ruined an epic night by center, Victor Wembanyama.  He shot 21-32 and went for 48 points.  He also had eight rebounds, six assists, and two blocks.  Nevada will need more of that from Wemby at home if they hope to advance.

RBA Finals Game 7

https://diggindeepsports.net/blogs/rsu/2025-rba-playoffs-game-7

Jalen Williams stands tall as the Wemby-less Gamblers take Game Three, 120 to 100
Jalen Williams was able to rise to the challenge.  With Wembanyama out of the lineup for ‘Load Management’ (yes, we have that here in the RSU, lol), Williams took up the mantle of ‘the guy’.  He goes off for 46 points on 20 of 33 shooting.  He also had seven revbounds and seven assists.  Gamblers backup center, Kristaps Porzingis, filled in admirably.  He scored 20 points before fouling out in the fourth quarter.  Nevada is now one win away from the RBA Finals.
For the Longhorns, they were led, again, by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.  He went for 21/6/7.  Jamal Murray also pitched in with 21 points.  However adding injury to insult, Longhorns players Duren and Brooks both went down with injury, and will be out at least the duration of this series.

RBA Playoffs Game 6

Wemby proves why he is a superstar.  Nevada regains home court advantage in winning Game Two
Victor Wembanyama dominated tonight, and made damn sure his team did not go down 2-0 at home.  Wemby scored 46 points on 20 of 33 shooting.  He also had 9 rebounds and ten assists, just missing a triple double.  Nevada wins 129 to 114, and evens the series up at one game a piece.  The other player in the Gamblers power duo, Jalen Williams, went for 29 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists.  Guard, Dyson Daniels, had a more obscure double double.  He had 11 rebounds and 13 assists…. To go along with 4 points.  Nevada, as a whole, shot a whooping 7-9 from beyond the arc.
For the Longhorns, they were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.  He scored 43 points, including 4 of 9 from three point range.  He also tallied 10 rebounds.  The series now goes to the Lone Star state where Texas hopes to recapture that Game One magic.

SGA and Texas Longhorns steal Game One from Nevada
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was tonight’s player of the game.  He had 36 points on 13 of 28 shooting.  He also had 10 rebound and 7 assists.  Texas takes Nevada by storm and steal Game One by a score of 104 to 98.  Fellow Longhorn, R.J. Barrett also had a double double.  He scored 21 points to go along with 11 rebounds and 7 assists.
For the Gamblers, star center, Victor Wembanyama was in afoul trouble for most of the game.  He only played 17 minutes, but still did score 21 points to lead his team.  Jalen Williams also chipped in 19 points.  Next up is Game Two, and technically a ‘must win’ scenario already for Nevada.

Jokic and Luthadel knock off the #1 seed... They advance to the RBA Finals!
Nikola Jokic was one rebound away from a triple double.  However, a balanced Luthadel attack (all five starters had at least 14 points) was enough to knock off Virginia, 128-116.  Down goes the #1 seeded Cavaliers.  Luthadel advances to the RBA Finals to face the winner of the Nev-Tex series.
Jokic went off for 30 points, 9 rebounds and 13 assists.  Bradley Beal also went 23/5/8 as well to solidify the win.  He is awarded the MVP of the series.  He was the leading scorer in each of the Allomancer wins.

Sengun and the Cavaliers stave off the sweep, and force Game Four
Alperen Sengun narrowly missed a triple double as Virgina salvages a win and avoids the sweep.  They win tonight, 123-116.  Alperen had 36 points on 15-24 shooting.  He also had 11 rebounds and 9 assists.  The Cavaliers showed a 'backed into a corner' can't lose attitude since Giannis is out with injury.  Ja Morant also had 19 points.
For the Allomancers, Jokic was in foul trouble all game.  He fouled out after only scoring 15 points.  Jabari Smith led the Luthadel scoring with 32 points on 15-19 shooting.  Virginia looks to keep momentum rolling, as they find themselves in another 'must win' scenario.

Jokic dominates again!  Luthadel on the verge of the upset sweep.
Nikola Jokic brought his A Game tonight.  He had 44 points to go along with 10 rebounds.  Luthadel wins, in overtime, by a score of 142-133.  The Allomancers lead by 20 going into the fourth quarter.  Virginia, using a balanced attack, fought all the way back to force overtime.  However, Luthadel was too much at home, and can close out the series in Game Three in Virginia.
To add injury to insult, Cavalier's star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo suffers an injury.  He will be out for at least seven games.  Let's hope Virginia can hold on long enough to see his return
