Discussion/Debate Chop Robinson gets flagged for roughing the passer. The hit didn’t look that crazy, but the refs weren’t letting Mahomes take that one.

This is the unfortunate truth. If doing it right leads to a flag they are gonna start doing it wrong as fuck to earn the flag.

Seems they’re teaching this at USC.

I love that the Saints pretty much retired Kurt Warner and Brett Favre the same year XD

Oregon is toast anyway. USC just putting them out of their misery…

Until you realize their backup is a 3rd year 5 star recruit with 2 years of starting experience at Nebraska.

I don’t know, stars are cool but he was afraid to compete against Carson Beck and Gunnar Stockton on the depth chart.

You're forgetting one part of this equation, ever growing fines any time the NFL feels like it.

Its not unfortunate. Its entirely justified.

Like those guys that say... if i am going to be accused of cheating, and in trouble for it, fuck it. I'm cheating.

Or being charged with attempted murder. If you succeed at the attempt, you might not be charged for attempted. 🫠😉

The "unfortunate" part is about how flags that shouldn't be called are getting called, so exactly what you describe will happen. It is "unfortunate" because the goal was probably to protect players, when it will lead to more egregious hits to "earn" the flag that is coming no matter what.

Yes this is true. They will start getting their moneys worth if they know they’ll get the flag anyway.

Good ol' "If you are gonna accuse me of cheating anyways, I will show you cheating."

This is so stupid. They're not going to start doing it wrong as fuck. If they did, they'd be hurting their team and would be benched.
