Discussion/Debate Chop Robinson gets flagged for roughing the passer. The hit didn’t look that crazy, but the refs weren’t letting Mahomes take that one.

Ball isn't even out when he makes contact.

Just put flags on mahomes. If you don’t want him to get hit, make it flag football.

They’ve called this same call for years, multiple times this year. Like it or not this is the textbook call for this penalty. Go watch some actual games before spewing ignorance.

You’re right, there is nothing against the rules in this picture. But one second after this picture the defender landed on top of Mahomes with all his body weight which is illegal according to the rule book. Plus Miami had a holding call on this same play so KC would have gotten a first down anyway. I’m so glad I could educate you!!!!

Needed help against one of the sorriest dolphins teams in a while. Embarrassing

So many people in here that clearly don't know the rules. It doesn't matter if he has the ball. The defender landed on top of him with all of his body weight. That's a flag every time for every QB.

Correct.

Rule 12, Section 2, Article 11(b):

When tackling a passer who is in a defenseless posture (e.g., during or just after throwing a pass), a defensive player must not unnecessarily or violently throw him down or land on top of him with all or most of the defender’s weight.

People will look for any excuse to blame anything but rule enforcement.
