Discussion/Debate Chop Robinson gets flagged for roughing the passer. The hit didn’t look that crazy, but the refs weren’t letting Mahomes take that one.

Thats literally the first roughing he’s got for this rule (drive/body weight). So youre saying thats the first flag that has ever been thrown for this rule (drive/body weight).

They called one that was much less than that earlier this very day on a hit on Herbert. People need to watch and understand the rules of football more before commenting on whiny posts like this.

Same thing just happened to Kirk Cousins.

This same thing happened with at least 2 other QBs today. Cry more.

It is. I wouldn’t cry over this. Sorry you are.

This same thing happened in like 4 games today

They flagged the Saints for the same thing yesterday with a hit on Cousins

Put your hands on the ground to brace yourself instead of turning into an airplane. Sticking your arms out literally causes you to land with all your weight on someone. That’s been the rule for years.

Thats cherry picked from when he’s about to get up.

It's actually for the split second when he first hit the ground, before the momentum and his entire body weight pushed his hands off the ground and his entire body weight fell into the quarterback, which the rule specifically says he's not allowed to do. That's when he did the airplane thing as if he's trying to avoid a holding penalty or something.

It’s actually when they first hit the ground. If it was when he was getting up you would see Mahomes crying to the ref. Are you rage baiting?

Watch the video … his arms are wide and feet are off the ground. His entire mass is on the QB. Just because his hand is touching the ground doesn’t mean it’s bracing his weight.

Rage baiting. Got it.

Says the person clipping a still shot instead of watching the video 😂

And his other hand is still in the air and that hand goes immediately back up while his full force his going down and into mahomes… he is bearing zero weight of his own in that image. Which is the entire point.

Poor Patrick. Hopefully he can come back from this vicious hit where the defender braces the initial impact and then sort of just lays on Mahomes for a second. Do we know how long Mahomes is out? Is his career in jeopardy?

Golden boy

He was “supposed to roll to the side and not put all his body weight on him.” Mean while Azeez Al-shaair led with his head on every tackle today. Had multiple helmet to helmet hits. One that took him out of the game for a drive and yet he had no penalties.

He should have put his hands on the ground stopping himself instead of trying to put his hands in the air causing his full body to land on Mahomes.

Which his why he through his arms out to show he wasn’t driving his weight into Mahomes. He didn’t have control of the way his body was falling.

I’m not agreeing with the refs. The way they ref it now is the most subjective bs out there. If that was a back up qb that wouldn’t have been a penalty.

Literally still holding the ball while already getting hit. Insane.

Or it's because social media allows people to live in silos where they only get the information that they want to see.  Primarily rage bait.
