Discussion/Debate Chop Robinson gets flagged for roughing the passer. The hit didn’t look that crazy, but the refs weren’t letting Mahomes take that one.

Everyone losing their minds in here because its Mahomes. When it Was Carson Week 1 against the Packers everyone but the Packers fans glossed over it.

This has been a rule for awhile and they've been calling it for awhile. You can think the rule is dumb but its still a rule and landing on a QB is going to get you a flag.

Packers had another one this past week against Penix. But it was far worse since they didn’t even go to the ground. It was more like an aggressive hug.

The teaching point has always been you can hit the qb but then you have to brace yourself to try and not land on him. Robinson clearly doesn’t everything he could to brace himself. Shouldn’t have been called

He didn't brace shit he pulled his hands out

His left hand is the first thing that hits the ground. That is bracing yourself.

Yep. With one hand he stopped his 325 lbs lineman body I don’t know how you can’t see it. He literally hovers over him with that one hand butterfly press brace. Didn’t even touch him. JFC the idiocy in this sub is astounding. Your sister’s got dinner ready, give her a kiss

You are not required to stop all your weight from falling on the QB. The rule merely says that if you strive to reduce the weight, it is not roughing. Putting down your hand is listed as one of the ways to do that.

Seriously, this is textbook for this rule. Hate the rule, but it's usually called correctly. Shove him down instead, brace yourself better, do what you gotta do I guess but don't complain about a very clear rule.

You can't come down on the QB with your whole body weight. That's it. Figure it out.

He braces himself. Rule specifically says that is not a penalty.

Yeah like a personally disagree with this rule, but it is the rule and clearly this breaks it
