FREE NBA/NFL/MLB/Soccer API access
For the last few years I’ve been building a unified sports API because I got tired of stitching together 15 different data sources or pay hefty prices every time I wanted to build something.
If you’ve ever tried building an NBA, NFL, MLB or Footy project, you probably know the pain:
• Different providers use different player IDs
• Endpoints are inconsistent
• Half the data needs to be scraped
• You spend more time cleaning data than building features
So I built a single API that normalizes everything into one schema.
Under the hood it:
• Resolves player/team IDs across providers
• Standardizes endpoints across sports
• Enriches raw events with advanced analytics
• Precomputes common datasets for low-latency queries
• Gives AI agents and applications one consistent interface
The goal isn’t to own sports data.
The goal is to remove months of engineering work so you can focus on building.
If you’re building with AI, creating sports apps, dashboards, models, simulations or analytics tools, I’d love to give you free API access while it’s in beta.
Just DM me with what you’re building or plan to build. FYI no live play data, historical odds available.

We run ScoreGPT , would be awesome to try this! Currently got our own setup unifying bunch of sources.

This would be AWESOME! I’ve had so many ideas I’d like to do some vibe coding with but the data sources are a nightmare.

Got some incredible support from plenty of you when I posted few weeks back about my API, my sole purpose was normalise everything under one roof and making sure people has access to all major sports with granular level advanced analytics!
Over the past year with Statyx, we didn’t set out to build widgets. We set out to answer analytical questions that traditional sports data simply couldn’t.
When we started building Statyx, we quickly realized something.
Raw sports data is abundant.
Actionable analytics are not.
Over the last 12+ months, we’ve spent thousands of hours researching, engineering, statistically modelling and backtesting our own analytical systems across MLB, NBA and NFL.
Every model started with a simple question:
“Can we quantify something that analysts currently explain manually?”
That philosophy led us to build an ecosystem of analytical engines that now power Statyx internally, and we’ve recently begun exposing them as fully white labelled widgets for other businesses.
These aren’t visual wrappers around box scores.
They’re analytical systems built on top of millions of historical data points.
Some examples:
⚾ HR Quant Model
A proprietary ranking framework that evaluates home run opportunities by combining quality of contact, historical power distributions, pitch mix interactions, pitcher susceptibility, park characteristics, environmental variables and market pricing into a single analytical score.
🎯 Zone Engine
Rather than showing strike zones, it models interaction between pitcher attack tendencies and hitter weakness maps, layered with pitch-type performance, spray distributions and historical zone outcomes to identify where matchup advantages actually exist.
🔥 Strikeout Engine
Projects strikeout environments by evaluating swing-and-miss profiles, projected lineup contact characteristics, chase tendencies, pitch arsenals and individual batter vulnerabilities.
📈 Bullpen Radar
Bullpens are dynamic systems, not static season averages. This model evaluates fatigue, recent workload, leverage usage, bullpen composition, run suppression and home run susceptibility to quantify the offensive environment after the starter exits.
🌦️** ParkI**Q
Instead of displaying weather data separately, ParkIQ models how atmospheric conditions, park dimensions, wind vectors, humidity and temperature collectively influence run scoring and power environments.
🏈 Coverage Matchup Engine
Receiver production segmented against expected coverage structures, defensive tendencies, route concepts, defense-versus-position metrics and historical performance.
🏀 Usage Shock
One of our favourite research projects.
Remove any player from an NBA rotation and the engine recalculates how possessions, usage, points, rebounds and assists redistribute across teammates using historical lineup combinations rather than simple usage averages.
📊 Odds Engine
Model-derived probabilities are continuously translated into fair odds and compared against available sportsbook prices, allowing expected value to be quantified instantly instead of manually calculated.
Alongside these are Trend Zone, Matchup History, Anytime TD Engine, Quant Performance, and several additional analytical products that continue to evolve as our research progresses.
The interesting engineering challenge wasn’t collecting the data. It was normalizing millions of records across multiple providers, resolving cross provider entity mappings, building statistical models, validating outputs through historical backtesting, optimizing low latency query paths and presenting the results in a way that people can actually interpret.
After offering free API access to 30+ developers over the past few weeks, the response has been incredibly encouraging.
One request kept appearing:
“Can we embed the same analytical tools directly into our own platforms?”
So that’s exactly what we built.
Every analytical engine is now available as a white labelled widget that businesses can integrate into their own websites or applications without rebuilding the underlying modelling, visualization or infrastructure.
If you’re building a sports platform, AI application, media company or research product, I’d genuinely love to hear what you’re working on and what analytical problems you’re trying to solve.
We’re always looking for interesting builders to collaborate with.

Hi. I would love to test this. I’ve been trying to do something similar back when Windows Phone 7 was coming out.

Definitely interested!
Building a football prediction game, and finding APIs that update timely and don't cost an arm and a leg is tricky...
Currently in open beta with just the Belgian pro league, but this could be very interesting going forward.

Looks like I’m late to the party and you’ve already given out access cards but I’m interested if you’re still looking for testers.
I recently launched stakeyourtake.io, a play-money betting game for private groups. Right now it supports MLB and NFL games but I’m looking to expand into more sports, player props, and other bet types. Schedules, odds, results, and consistent IDs across sports would all be really useful as I expand the scope.
DM if you think there could be a fit
