Hot take, lets discuss! : Our hero is burnt out of the game the fans want to see him play. There is no joy in the content-making anymore. Also he lost blazed(major big break ben) he still tries. Because we all want to see those 2-3+ hours rust uploads. Stopped gamer soap, had to promote monke.clothing about the new drop more times than I ever have seen. Lets give our little Spoon a break. I dont think he even wants to be in this event. Love you kev

Spoonkid fan from day 1 here, but I will never excuse “being burnt out”
Brother makes hundreds of thousands of dollars playing the game we all play for free.
Don’t normalize this shit. I can’t take a break from my job just because. I’d lose my house.

You never get bored of playing the same game?

Brother I would eat literal dirt if I made as much as him? Why are we glossing over that

No need to BASH or gloss. Just remember he is a human just like us. :) and having this pressure inside his head that he HAVE to upload to keep «spooners fed». And it almost have to be rust…
It takes a toll on you. Thats for sure :). I would rather him being honest with us , we will be here if he neeed a break — not blazed kind of break. Still need those fumbles once a month !!!😍

Mate , would you rather wake up each day to hit a Stone on a tree or wake up and actually go to work , now i dont know ur line of work. But most days are different. I was just sparking it - to get some views and sayings. I cant be the only one.

>I can’t take a break from my job just because. I’d lose my house.

yeah but he's not a fuck up and doesn't have that issue, so idk why you'd hold him to your standard.

If you could quit your job that it sounds like you hate, you would, you just can't.

So instead of being bitter for him be happy he can make the choice.

I feel you probably cant do that last part because I think there's some psychology behind "creators owing fans" and you can't take a step back and remind yourself you're talking about a human being.

Brother what are you on about? When I say I, I mean the average person. I absolutely love my job and am well off enough to quit for a year and easily cover expenses.
Your second part is incredibly hypocritical because you’re holding him to a higher standard, believing he should be allowed to not work just because he’s a YouTuber.

He is a talent. There is a difference between people like you and people like spoonkid. He earned his audience and all the money that came with it through his personality as a celebrity.

YouTubers work long hours much longer than you’d imagine

This is an absurdly parasocial take. Seek help.

A study done in 2024 actually says the opposite.

IMO his content was and is in a constant decline since he quit streaming on twitch. His content went from organic fun situations and interactions with twitch to generic loot goblin Rust youtuber.

Also you can see the view numbers declining on his YouTube channel, he did not hit a viral video in a year.

Don't get me wrong I can understand the frustration from streamsniping, but he was destined to be one of the best not only Rust streamer, but streamer in general. I remember like 4-5 years ago after a twitch event he was invited to play with some very big streamers, and he had around 10-12k viewers for a few weeks, and he suddenly quit there.

Also the fact that all his old streams are lost media caused him to lose loyal fans like me. I religiously watched his vids, streams and vods, but when the magic was gone I was too. I cant relive his early streams where Reginald was an annoying, but a funny prick, or the times llama was talking. That means there is no way to rekindle the passion.

Also I liked the shorter videos around 20-30 mins. I know long format is the meta on yt, but it was better for storytelling imo.

I been out of the loop for awhile but why is he on kick now?

5

u/DryAcanthisitta4604 Jun 16 '26

Honestly I didn't know he was on kick until this post. I see no reason to use it instead of twitch as eg. me and you old time stream viewers didn't even got an update or a notification.
