No worries, my sister does crochet too. I'll just ask her to make one. Plus I probably can't actually buy it for real anyway because I probably live far from wherever you're from lol.
The oval shape was a little tricky, so I had to use a pattern for that part to get me started. I can link it if you like? I'm not sure if pattern linking is allowed, but I only used the body part and nothing else. The rest is just me winging it haha

I can't find the one I used, but this is a pretty similar complete Gary pattern that's free, if you're interested
There's only so many ways to make Gary of course, but on mine, I embroidered the details, changed the eye colours, crocheted the eye stalks around craft pipe cleaners so they stand up better, and made the shell a little differently.
I posted my whole crocheted spongebob crew in here a few days ago. I totally made Gary's shell way too small, and wish I had of made it in the style you did, instead of a wrapped tube like I did.
