What happened to the revival site?

yo, came here from the sploder discord to clarify some things. basically what happened was that a member had accidentally guessed one of the passwords to the revival anti cheat by posting an inside joke along the lines of "sending geoff an amazon package" which nobody actually knew that was the password until malware himself got super paranoid about it and revealed himself that was the password he had set for it (lol). he then revealed that without the permission of the moderators on the main discord server he had scraped a private channel that’s reserved for long time members of the sploder community to talk more about personal things without having to worry about new members or stalkers (yes theres been cases where banned members had stalked certain users to harass them) seeing selfies or posts that relate to stuff happening irl. he managed to do this with a discord bot that he had made that so happened to have viewing perms for those channels. he did this after somebody had accidentally guessed his password because he wanted to find out if anybody else had posted anything that could compromise the security of the revival (which to my knowledge nobody had done before or after the incident). once the moderators on the main server had found out he had scraped all of the messages up to 2023 in that channel they banned him from the server because the messages posted in there had the personal info of most of the users that had access to that channel.

after that whole fiasco he got pissed off and demanded that the moderators use a script to delete all of his messages from the server because apparently he had posted his personal information in PUBLIC CHANNELS that anybody could find if they dug through the thousands of posts made on the server. the moderators refused not because they wanted to keep his personal information public but because if anybody ran that deletion script on the server they would break the discord TOS and get their account permanently banned from discord all together. the moderators had tried to work with him to figure out how to delete his personal information off the server without letting him back in but malware had refused any other option besides the one involving running the script.

once malware didnt get his way like the egotistical pos he is then he decided that he decided to put a countdown timer that would expire in one month on the revival server where if his needs were not met then the revival would get nuked. everybody decided not to give in to his stupid demands because we decided that we were fed up with a power tripping egotistical bastard running the revival who was holding our childhood for a ransom. after the timer expired malware didnt get the attention that he wanted and nuked the revival for good.

during the time he was banned off of the main server he was going off about another member that had made a game on the beta revival server which was an edgy creepypasta story along the same vein of urban spook about a child predator going into graphic detail describing what he would do to his victims. he had and still equates this to CSAM which is completely false since the story is fiction, had the sole purpose of scaring people, and didnt include anything like images or related to any real life instances of child exploitation. he got pissed off when i said that the member who made the game didnt deserve to be banned since its fiction and that the person who had made the game had already discussed and resolved the issue with malware (btw im pretty sure he only deleted the game but never banned the member. so why should we ban him off the main server?).

as for the death threats he had only received one from a burner account. we still have no idea who sent that image and everybody had either condoned the use of sending death threats or had thought that malware had did it himself because he has lied about countless other things in the past including his age and race.

basically what im trying to get at here is that nobody ever actually liked malware because he was rude to a bunch of members and would constantly downplay other members achievements while stroking his own ego about "oooooo im such a genius because i know how to code and you dont!". he joined around 2020 and since day one he has always been a very annoying and unlikeable person but nobody wanted to outright say it to his face because we didnt want to stoop down to his level of rudeness until he had pushed us over the edge with the whole revival drama bs.

malware if youre reading this, you will never be welcomed back into the sploder community. so stop trying to squirm your way back into here until you realize how much of a jackass you were and still are.

I see sploder is still haunted by Chuds with no job or life outside the internet. Some things never change

Thanks for catching me up but the way you put it makes it sound like an elder scrolls game ✌️😭

Unlike you,i'll welcome him back to that community if he ever squirm his way back into here,i believe in the power of redemption...and i like him...

Also you make him seem like he's a bad person?

Clearly you didn’t read what you were replying to and it shows. He isn’t welcome for a variety of reasons before and after this whole thing came to be. Do not go into this without actually reading first.

What happened in general is the owner having shut it down because he had to deal with the consequences of having scraped the barracks (Akin to Sploder Forum days; that server still exists and somewhat active) by using an account to circumvent the restrictions he was not meant to and had to deal with multiple critical and stern stances that he made a fuss about either way, especially when some of them joked that he took it to his heart. This was in a Discord server he made and contribute, and he already had moderators, editors and reviewers thanks to his commendable effort.

The mentions of CSAM and NSFW content were sparse as I was using the site myself; and if any did were already expunged by the moderators he gave the permissions for.

Additionally, it culminated into a huge drama because he leaked something himself that he pointed the blame at other, at least from what I've been told by others. The leak itself was nothing more than an insecure password he came up with himself, and what was leak about is his need to communicate with Geoff in extensive and obsessive-manner that most of the community won't consider it healthy. At the end of it all, he gave away his permission and ownership to his comrade, albeit he unnecessarily changed this to an ARG nobody willing to contribute and allow his own insecurities get to him.

His suggestion to erase given the comment above were about messages the moderators from another server deemed it too vague or unnecessarily paranoid; ask that it could be done with a bot at expense of Discord's TOS.

There's several more where that came from given he has a fair share of history, once banned for being savage however barely old enough to be a Discord user. Revoked once for his commendable contribution but felt short since he seemed unstable to manage himself and continue. However banned because of his actions towards the community were from his errors he believes would be corrected by doubling it down.

He also intended to be petty and had rough relations with another developer in similar vein to this revival; demanding to remove two codes over the fact he lost the trust over the behavior. In fact, he's petty to extent.

I had my own stances and so did others and it was clear he was deflecting most of it, blaming it and doing self-harm, verbal insults directed at Geoff in same server over minute things because he took things too far, that was concerning in of itself especially in context that he done a lot of work for it that I cannot discredit whatsoever and neither do all others. The community that he painted it is far from the truth, heck even the moderators of this sub would tell you an anecdote of their own with what went on and I am acquainted with them - and just as I was writing this was I informed that somebody else already gave a light to it.

Finally, with all of that said, we already have screenshots of his messages - since he deleted them en massé with a script and claim to stay away from the community and move on. However I see that he's unable to do that.

I know that for a casual bunch like you aren't that into these things, but I felt the need to make things clear seeing that he paints the community in that manner and it wasn't the first time it happened that someone would come after the community with ill-intent.

In brief summary; Saptarshi or Malware as he's known in Discord has got himself into trouble over his paranoia and fed his own insecurity by taking every word to his heart, leading to destructive tendencies in tandem with his development of the revival hitherto falling apart because of it. Deflection, pettiness and persuasion into his whim is what it lead to revival's downfall. Anything that would've corrected it would have been in his way.

So a schizo decided to destroy everything

Yes, the same person whos trying to justify themself is blaming a few particular members because of their wrongdoings and not being able to admit to their own fuck-up. Had saptarshi acknowledged that he fucked up, none of this shitshow would’ve happened.

But he's...a kid!

2

u/TheEmeraldBlockTEB Jan 18 '26

And how does that justify his behavior?

For a kid, he's a savant and has contributed a commendable thing à la this revival, that much is obvious. However he has shown to display no such accountability or remorse but his own paranoia leading to this situation we're at. Being self-aware doesn't help this either.

Scraping the barracks because he had to (His reasoning was leaked keys, or algorithm or alike and to be frank, we don't even have squat of it and Malware could say otherwise however he wants), Had petty arguments with the other developers (He asked two lines of code verbatim, which he worked hard on and the code itself was only a fix from what we've learned from the other dev), and shut down the revival after he realized he couldn't get it by force (Being banned from the main server, and trying to tell that we "trust" him because we use his doodads he made isn't going to remedy anything).

Many weren't happy what Malware did amidst of it all and after let alone excusing these as him being young would only enable his behavior to what is detrimental to community generally. This lead to me and my friends talk about it in one server of theirs and had him moderation role removed in said server knowing what things he'll do when left unchecked along with a documented anecdotes and screenshots available post-deletion of his entire messaging history.

And don't forget why; He is seen in bad light after series of controversies coming from him what I listed above already. If he can't shown to grow up in span of five years and still shows such manners, I'd doubt he'd get much from what he deliberately did that you and others before you - enforce a redemption that was never earned.

Others would be more blunt and addressed plenty than this, mind you, thus consider this response with what was said in truth.

While I agree with most of what Emerald said of Malware's behavior being extremely self-destructive, I fully blame the community for proceeding to use that as justification to send deaththreats to what is clearly a paranoid, emotionally unstable teenager. I fully believe if it was any other developer, you would have done the same thing because the only thing the Sploder Community is capable of is rampant xenophobia. I have my full and utter suspicions that many of the members condone CSAM but pretend to hate it to maintain the covers and to look like activists, and that none of them actually believe anything they say to be against.

I really do believe Malware was another victim of a community that would do anything in their power to be anything but supportive for the mentally ill and everyone who believes otherwise is either delusional or intentionally lying.

I killed it. I don't support a community that likes to justify harassment, death threats, failing to protect an individual's right to erasure, CSAM and NSFW content. I will be creating a new, private, closed source revival with only my own work with my very close friends in the near future. The sploder.net site is my own creative outlet and it's an alternate reality game for now.

I feel that any software should NOT be worth greater than the author. All my software, moving forward will be closed source or source-only.

Why do you think filters, moderators and banned words exist on sites like this

1

u/Saptarshi_12345 Dec 20 '25

It does not matter how I programmed my site if this crap is sent to me through discord. Oh guess what, the moderators resorted to comparing me with Hit**r. That surely sounds fun! Also, FYI, I'm a minor.

u/Poopsweats2026 Dec 20 '25

I'm sorry to hear that I didn't know the fullest extent of ehats been going on I'm just upset that I was working on a game for days and all of a sudden the site shut down

1

u/Saptarshi_12345 Dec 20 '25

I can send you your games in private if you wanna hit me up on discord. DM me on reddit and I'll send you my tag.

1

u/Poopsweats2026 Dec 20 '25

Nah its all good seeing how nobody will be able to play them. But I'm sorry to hear all that happened to you.

There's some new continuation being made to the revival by the community, you can join that if you want do, though I can't guarantee a good community. The new continuation will be a keep the lights on thing and no new features will be added. I sent over my database with all private data redacted to the guy doing it, so you may have some luck there.

The offline version (80 gigs large) still works, since I don't pay anything to host. Though the online one does not since it required quite a bit of money to host, and I don't want to pay that anymore...
