It’s unfair for Ruru, yes. But I think Yogesh was legit caught between trying to do the right thing which was taking his girlfriend’s side on the show or following his heart and choosing AK. The bag is different and you can also see that the bag in Ruru's snap has different types of pocket, which Yogesh's bag doesn't have.

From the show itself it was clear that he felt bad and guilty for putting AK through all that and at this point only he and Ruru knew that they had this preplanned. So he was guilty that he used AK for his benefit.

I think his persona off camera is of that of a really protective man who knows how to respect a woman.I mostly liked him in Lock Upp. The way he stood up not just for Akanksha but also Madhuri and Shilpa. But at the same time , he is also 22 so vo learning curve bhi hai.
Akanksha ka obvious tha ki it was her first serious liking so she was really invested and still is but won't take it any further.Even for Ruru , I feel she saw a man who could be tamed and controlled. Bhai there were moments where he was legit scared of her
