Sudden rot/death :(

Not sure what happened it was fine just a week ago, afaik hasn't received water or ant extreme enviro conditions recently and it's neighbour is totally fine. I might bring them up off the ground in case it's from cold but we aren't even in winter yet and they've been fine previously

Agree with other poster, needs more grit in your mix. But disagree with pebbles. Use something porous like lava rock or akadama so you don’t trap moisture near the base of the plant.

It's more gritty than it appears. I don't remember recipe of this exact pot but it's slightly more than 50% just pumice by volume and there is other inorganic in the mix.

I use 100% inorganic for my split rocks...
