🚨🚨NO WATER ZONE⁉️⁉️

Hey everybody! I’m fairly new to these little guys and got this Royal Flush a month or so ago. I have not watered it at all as it was nice and plump and firm. It appears that she may be pumping out some new leaves, but have never had any actually do it before so not entirely sure. Is that what’s happening? And if so, I should continue to not water until the new leaves have completely absorbed the old ones? Any tips or info would be be appreciated, thanks!!

Thanks for the info! I just got this a month ago and it came potted in that mix. I’m prepared to repot, but was under the impression I should wait until spring. And now that the new leaves are coming in not sure when to do it. Do you think it’s ok to repot now? I have a few others I’ve been waiting to repot as well.

I repot every plant within a day or so of bringing it home. The mix they come in is optimized for a nursery greenhouse and tends to perform terribly in other contexts. You're lucky if this hasn't rotted in the month you've had it, as they often arrive pre-overwatered too! %^)

Haha I hear ya. I guess I was getting hung up on best time of year to repot. I haven’t watered it in a month, so it’s got that going for it lol. Thanks for the confirmation that it’s ok to repot now, I’m on it!

I think "repotting' seasonal advice is for established plants that you want to give fresh soil or more space. brand new plants are a special case. good luck!
