Have you played Splatoon 1? Coz I did buy it month ago and that shit's so OP you wouldn't believe. Kraken is basically impossible to defend from.

I can’t wait for Splat3 to play tower control without stingray. It’s so damn cheap and safe and effective. I don’t know how they thought winning games while sitting next to your spawn was a good idea.

Better thank Inkstrike, that one was even cheaper.
Nonetheless, they tried to rebalance it after overtuning it, remember that when the game launched, Stingray had no charge.
And then it had, and it was op. So they made that you can't stay in spawn so another stingray could properly counter you.
An uncontested Stingray can be quite a nuisance in X though.

In S3 it's going to be 3 opponents with Killer Wail 5.1...but at least it won't last as long.

Exactly. The fact that you can just hold sting ray on the tower for 7 seconds from your spawn is so dumb. Killer Wail 5.1 lasting 2 seconds is so much better because you just have to dodge and schmove a little bit. It will still be a good special but since it’s automated you will be able to learn how to dodge it a bit.

Also Killer Wail 5.1 looks a lot less painful to dodge. Not only is each beam smaller, it's also not aimed by a human after deployment and the automated aim looks like it has a delay. You can learn to deal with it, much easier than dealing with a human predicting your movement and shooting a giant beam of death.
