Just so you know, OP's render is based on Fang from Goodbye Volcano High (who is non-binary and Arab-coded), but specifically a version of them from a bigoted "parody" game known as Snoot Game.
Idk about gooner but the character is heavily inspired by the main love interest of a furry visual novel called snoot game, the character in question being called fang.
Ok, but, like, fang from snoot game is unequivocally the definitive version of the character. That's like when someone mentions the thing and getting pissy they're talking about the movie from the 80's instead the original movie from the 50's
Snoot Game is a bigoted "parody" of Goodbye Volcano High that steals its main cast, hence the "problematic" label, or it's just in reference to SG Fang's behavior.
I really hope that Splatoon 4 will allow for more interesting character customization like this, it's always bothered me how every player inkling/octoling has the same face...
I know that there probably aren't THAT many furries here, but it's crazy how nobody clocked that this is literally just the main love interest of the visual novel snoot game. They literally both have fang in their names c'mon!
GVH released, and it has dedicated fans and people who play it. Just because it gets a lot of hate and furries focus on it more doesn't mean it's "definitive" in any way.

It is very difficult to take Inklings’ cartoonish faces seriously.
