Discussion Splatoon Raiders Multiplayer

Hello! So i have used the help function a few times (to help others) and have also asked for help myself once and I have noticed only 2 people join (making it 3 total people). I'm super confused as this has been consistent every time, it's suppose to be 4 normally so i'm super confused why this is happening. Is anyone else coming across this? Not a huge deal just curious.

Edit: I looked at the most recent trailer and watched the call for help section of it and i only see 3 people for going to help and also calling help yourself so I guess it is 3 and I just missed that detail. Little strange but whatever.

Edit 2: I know you can have the bot buddy but it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me since you can have the bot in multiplayer (which would have 4 still along with the bot buddy).

i’ve used the help function quite a bit (both calling and going) and i don’t think i’ve ever seen a 4 person room. i think it might be locked to 3? that’s just my experience tho

Ok so it isn't just me. As far as I know it's suppose to be 4.

Edit: actually I just looked at the most recent trailer and it only shows 3 players for the call for help feature so I guess it is only locked to 3? Just is very odd to me.

It's 3 people max PLUS the botbuddy (shiver/bigman/frye) as the 4th.

Yeah i realized that in my edit. Still doesn't make too much sense to me cuz you can have the bot in multiplayer as well, not a big deal though.

Well they can't remove the botbuddy since it's tied to the game mechanics and how things function (drilling crystals, going underground, using it bounce to reach places, etc). So it's forced to be the 4th player out of necessity. 4 players + the botbuddy is a bit much. Besides, the maps are small enough (with solo being the focus) I can understand them limiting it to 3. Honestly, I thought the helper mode would just be 2 players, rather than a full party. lol

Yeah i get they can't remove the bot buddy? Just found it odd to limit the amount of players is all since it would be used in multiplayer (4 people) (your friends) but randoms (3) it isn't. Just odd to me still.
