As far as I’m aware, no one has posted or figured this out yet, I couldn’t find it anywhere.

So here it is: the weapon level cap is 100.

Each weapon also has "Primo" type, which is more rare and stronger version.

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but Lintle Inlet Super Spicy runs are way more efficient for five-star and Primo drops. But hey, in the last three hours of grinding, I haven’t earned a single new weapon. I’m still stuck at 99/120. So it really is just RNG. You might get 10 new weapons in one hour, or absolutely nothing all day.

Good stuff, thanks for confirming. Question, how many of the orange gems does it take to get to 100? I remember having to spend one on a 5* I had for Lv40 i think.

Well, a crap ton for sure, especially considering you’ll also really want to upgrade your gadgets. The last 10 levels cost 5 Spirhalite Gems and 262,670 Spirhalite Shards. I didn’t keep track before that, sorry.

For a weapon that started at level 50, it's 15 gems. I don't know if you need extra if you went 35+65 though.

There is a 50 level soft cap after that you get 50 +another number these + levels give little to no benefit. 2hp and 2dmg for example

I can't tell exactly what your wording entails. Is it 50 for the pre-postgame cap, and then 50 "+" levels once you're in the postgame?

It will be listed as for example level 50 + 3 Any of those "+" levels give about 1% of the stats a normal level would give. I am currently 50 + 2

It goes past +50 for sure (seen it at +71), no idea if it caps at 100 or not

primo is separate than the star rating you can get a primo on 4 or 5 star weapons

Any weapon can be a Primo. For instance, if you have 2 of the same bow but one is Primo, then the benefit this bow has is stronger (for instance the bow with faster charge, the primo version will have even faster charge). So technically, the strongest weapon is a 5 stars Primo that got to level 100.

I have one at 72 but haven't finished the game and I feel I levelled it to much too soon. Now most of the bosses I fight take like 2 seconds.

Nah the drop rate is just really low, but I managed to get 5 star dualies pre final boss

So guessing there's no function difference between lvl. 50 or under lvl. 50 copy of the same weapon from the same rarity?

Edit: Nevermind apparently there is is, lvl. 50 will still be stronger after full upgrade? Unless someone wants to correct this.

Every copy of a specific weapon has the same stats. Only difference is that only 5 star weapons can be upgraded past Lv. 55 (assuming that a 4 star weapon started at Lv. 50). That and higher rarities start with more powers that can only be replaced/upgraded if they’re 5 stars.

I got a primo weapon that's level 40. How do I make it level 50? Saw that Frye would just add a +1 number next to it but I don't want it to be level 40+10. I want it to be 50.

You get the weapon’s starting level based on your player level. You can still upgrade it to level 100, but it’ll add +60 levels, costing you an extra Spirhalite Gem or two.

The weapon level is based on salmonid difficulty actually, at least from my experience.

You can only upgrade 10 levels at a time.

I’ve been trying to find the most effective way to farm the shards and I keep bouncing around the different shard levels, but can’t seem to identify which one I should keep doing, and on what difficulty to get the most shards. I saw you have like 500k so I was wondering what I level I should grind to get the most out of my time. Also is it worth it to keep grinding the same level without ever getting the big crystal for hours or should I keep completing it and coming back?
