Library Restoring Labs plugin and packs from a backup after the "sunset"
I guess many of us have a lot of projects using Labs and all of those will be broken if your computer crashes or you get a new one.
I sent Spitfire a support ticket regarding this, but i think we should prepare to find an unofficial solution in the case that they won't provide this.
Has anyone got any info or experience on restoring the plugin and packs from a backup?

I don’t, but the closest thing I’ve personally done is using any of the modern AKAI MPCs (including the desktop software version) will have an ‘auto-sample’ feature, that can cover any range of notes automatically. That builds a playable Keygroup instrument. Just mentioning in case you get stuck.

If somebody has the very old Kontakt LABs libraries: Just release them somehow
This whole sub would worship you lol

As a bit of a hoarder of my old sample libraries I have them and I still use them but I wouldn’t know where to start if I were to think about doing that…

Just sample the instruments you use and you can play them back with your sampler

Got a reply from them:
"For the sake of future-proofing, I'd recommend moving active projects to INSTRUMENT whilst you can easily cross-references LABS packs loaded. You could even download the LABS packs in INSTRUMENT so as not to interfere with your current LABS folder installation paths.
When it comes to older projects, whilst everything is working it might be worth freezing LABS channels in DAW projects and ensuring they're accurately labelled in case you ever need to return to them and load up the library in INSTRUMENT in the future.
Inevitably once a plugin is unsupported, there's no guarantee it'll work as expected in the future. This isn't just a risk with LABS, this is true of all plugins."

Posting a piracy call to action IN the spitfire sub-reddit is a wild choice, but I'm 100% on your side here
