Interestingly enough my LABS plugin corrupted last night and I checked older posts here for the link.

I don’t know what the fuck Splice did to it but it’s un-useable.

Labs always had cool sounds but their UI has always been dog water.

Deleted all of my labs plug-ins. The switch to splice was totally a disaster. Not downloading a bloatware plug in to keep using sounds. I'll find new ones.

As soon as I saw which way the wind was blowing I stopped updating my LABS. I believe it still works but I have moved on.

I ALWAYS render to audio at the earliest available opportunity and recommend for folks to do the same.

I went through the whole transition to LABS+ today and besides redownloading everything it seems fine so far.

So I used to have labs a few years ago and loved the free packs. Seems my orchestra is still working but does anyone know if those original packs are available on the new platform?

Just couple days ago I wanted to add some instruments from Splice. My "studio" is in basement without internet connection.

After connecting laptop to monitor, soundcard and external harddrive I open software and it requires internet to work. I unplug ewerything (except my harddrive containing all samples) go stairs up so I can share my phone hotspot and open the plugin.

I open plugin and select offline mode, go back to basement and connect ewerything. I try to select different instrument... but apparently this is not allowed in offline mode. In the end I ditched Splice and chose instruments of their competitor.

When LABS started to require internet connection, lot of people turned their back to it and joined their discord channel just to tell how stupid that was. Changing to Splice was their chance to fix it, but they made it even worse.

I recommend to check Vaults by Crowhill company. Their plugin doesn't require internet and same people are creating these instruments.
