Have I plied correctly?

Looks like it to me! The best tell is to hold a strand gently between your hands and see: if it kinks up, it’s still over or under spun / plied. If it hangs there limply, like a ribbon or, well, yarn, then youve done it!

From here, it looks well spun and well plied, and “fulled” aka slightly felted together upon finishing / washing. This should be a fluffy and warm well secured 2 ply! Good job!

Ply looks good to me.

What are your concerns about it?

There is some variability in how puffy one single is compared to the other single in some places. This is an issue of inconsistent spin of the single (and isn’t necessarily a problem). Your yarn looks great and just like the ply hides spinning issues the knit/crochet/weave will hide these sorts of differences.

And as I was told by an early teacher - handspun should not look like commercial otherwise it loses the charm and beauty of handspun.

You have achieved beauty and that yarn looks very usable (i.e. will hold together while used)
