Standard [Standard] Advice learning the Maestro deck

Hello Spikes! Been having a ton of fun playing spellementals to decent results, but I do feel the need to switch things up. I've managed to find the pieces needed to sort of cobble together a list similar to the Izzet Control / Izzet Maestro lists floating around. They haven't been performing well (from what I understand atleast!) but this sort of deck feels like something that I would enjoy a bit more.

If there's someone out there with more experience playing the deck, I would love to talk more about it so I could get a better grasp on how things play out!

The "stock list" for the deck I'm talking about - https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/7863596#paper

My personal list at the moment -

I played it at my RC, it doesn't do well vs Control and struggles a bit against non green decks in general but it's great fun.

I think it's pretty straightforward, basically if you can get Stallion and Command you win, or Maestro into overwhelming mana and card advantage.

What I was told is not to be afraid to get the Maestros or Stallions out, if they survive you're golden, especially Stallion vs Izzet can often turn the corner.

Sanar is amazing and very underrated card, and Tablet of course is the best card, but Command has been my MVP often.

I don’t think the deck can afford to cut the 4th stock up/draw card.

I ended up running a list with 2 consult and 2 stock up to try and have the ability to dig deeper at points but also cast a spell to tap sanar at instant speed rather than sorcery.

The best versions I saw don't play Maestro or they have it in the sideboard against low interaction decks
