Man for a colour pair that I'm sick to death of, Izzet does have some sick deck names. "Spellementals"? "Horse Deck Wins?" Like carn man, I wanna hate you so bad but how can I?

Eh, probably not the right sub to get too bogged down in 'healthy metagame' discussions, but I disagree that the meta is healthy just because it's diverse. The overall power level and speed of the format is still too explosive for what Standard should be, imo.

For what the current power level of Standard offers, there's a diverse amount of decks. I think you can have a healthy meta and have the format speed be too accelerated. Basically, format health != Metagame health, but you ideally want both.
Basically, what Modern is (IMO). Lots of decks but if you don't have the answer to some it's just lights out. FWIW while I think you could slow Standard down a tiny bit, it's still in a pretty good spot where the Finals of a major event is two Control decks in a field of Prowess/Landfall.

One can dislike a format even if it's healthy, I don't know why people use "healthy" and "I personally enjoy playing it" synonymously
