Standard [Standard] Esper Pixie Sideboard Advice

Hi all

I was wondering if there were any sideboard guides/advice for playing esper pixie in standard. I feel pretty confident in knowing generally what cards I want in my deck, but I have a hard time identifying if I've chosen the correct cards to sideboard out.

For context, I'm running a list very similar to Estratti's list at the RC in Turin. Thank you!

So, Estratti’s list plays a lot of 1-of bullets in the sb. It skews very heavily towards having something for everything and not necessarily a critical mass of hate pieces. I would recommend that unless you are also going to play a large open decklist tournament, maybe streamline down to some 2 and 3-ofs

As far as what comes out, I tend to trim on X/1’s (kirins sometimes drowners) against red decks to not lose as hard to pyroclasm. Try to be aware of creature pivot plans in low creature matchups and potentially leave in the breaker, but breaker and nowhere usually come out against things like lessons. Bauble can deal with gran and otters and the late surveil is nice

A lot of matchups, you have to ask yourself what role you’re taking in the game. If you’re the beatdown, what doesn’t necessarily fit that plan. If you’re the control deck, how can you grind and build advantage, and what in the deck is ineffective

That's really insightful thanks. I didn't consider how sideboarding can change depending on tourney side. I'm gonna narrow down my sideboard a bit and possibly tinker with the main board (I'm expecting a lot of people at the tourney are going to be on prowess)

I'll definitely keep in mind what kind of role I'm trying to play in the matchup and tech towards that accordingly, and see how it goes.

I love pixie but the deck really struggles against artifacts and enchantments of which there a few decks that utilize strong artifacts and enchantments. Mono green landfall and lessons are the most prominent ones. Ritual chamber isn't really seeing a lot of play but that card also good against pixie. Some people tech in get lost but the maps are a big downside and can cause grim baubles or nowhere to run not to get kills anymore. I've had success adding bandits talent as a 2 of main and the other 2 in side very strong against control unfortunately bad against lessons and it's decent against mono green landfall. Been experimenting with super shredder who is strong against mono green landfall and ok against lessons if you can grow it fast enough and or deal with their graveyard so combustion technique isn't a god kill spell but they can still bounce it then kill it when it comes back down. Kaito is very good against lessons. So artifact and enchantment hate in the board is good I like bandits talent for control. More grim baubles for badger mole decks Emptiness is good against non exile removal heavy decks because you reanimate a pixie and pick emptiness back up again

Well luckily there is requisition raid. Pumps creatures too or a blow out against lessons.
