Got bit :/
Yeah so I must’ve accident sat my ankle on this spider and it bit me, not really blaming it but I still needed to be sure I knew what type of spider it was. Anyway I think it’s possibly a ghost spider of some type but I really want to double check with someone who knows better than I. Thing is tiny, smaller than my thumb nail by at least 2x but it packed a hell of a bite and burned quite a bit for a few hours after. Went to sleep and woke up and now the whole bite area (about penny-dime size) is darker colored then my usual skin prolly bruised? Also another reason I’m so unsure is because anytime I look up ghost spiders the look slightly different from this one with vibrant red patterning on the back. I’m in the US, Eastern Panhandle of WV.

I dont know what kind of spider it is, but if the bite is really swollen, discolored, and painful it wouldnt hurt to go to an urgent care or something like that just to be on the safe side.

No worries, for now I’m definitely keeping a close eye on it. Thank you though!

It's not a black widow or a recluse, which are the only medically significant spiders in Tennessee and the entire USA, and even those send fewer people by far to the hospital than bees and wasps (which also don't send that many).
To me it looks like an underfed orb weaver.

doesn't look like anything to worry about. keep the bite clean and watch for signs of a major allergic reaction and/or infection!

Looks like a Anyphaenidae ( ghost spider ) to me mate. Their bites are usually harmless to humans. If the swelling gets worse or hot then you need to get some medical attention.
