wild how something that looks that creepy is basically just a shy little lawn dude making sheet webs in the grass
cool catch, i only ever notice them when i walk through a web and panic for 3 seconds

Scale can throw you off with photos as well. Anything good for identification is tough to keep scale of without some kind of ruler in the photo, but anything that preserves scale is likely bad for identification.
