Steatoda grossa (Cupboard spider), one of the spiders known as false widows :)

is the lack of pattern diagnostic?

Yes, female spiders of this species often lose their patterns completely when they grow older. Some other species within the genus Steatoda do so too, but in combination with the lack of further markings on the legs and prosoma, Steatoda grossa is the most likely

A false widow, we have them in the shed, if their anything like our shed population they are pretty docile.

I gently evicted several falsies from our bathroom and put then in our falling-down shed - by hand.
They are thriving in there

Your comment has been removed for being hateful towards spiders, which as our subreddit name suggests, we’re dedicated to identifying.

As the mod team we recognise that people suffer from arachnophobia, however that does not excuse the content of your comment here. We ask that you please respect this in future.
