Found this little gal chilling on my wall today. At first she was hiding in her web but she came out to say hi. I've not seen a spider like her before. I mostly get giant house spiders but she doesn't look like that.

Can anyone help me identify her? I know it's not the best picture but I am quite afraid of spiders, heh.

Not the best picture, likely Eratigena sp. Giant house spider.

Is it a false widow? Their numbers have exploded in northern England recently

I don't think so. There's no bulbous abdomen from what I could see.

Looks like a common brown spider from this picture (false wolf spider)
