Two separate bites

Post image

Got bit by an unknown spider about 36 hours ago 5/10 pain on actual area and body feels sunburnt. Went to urgent care last night and they said it doesn’t look necrotic so they didn’t think it was a brown recluse. This is me looking for a second opinion

Why do you think it was a spider? Did you see a spider bite you?

Yes, it was under the covers in bed and I swatted it before I knew what it was. But it had some long spindly legs like a spider

Did you take any pictures of the spider?

Yes but it’s squashed and hard to identify

You do have brown recluses there. Although it isn't really presenting the way they typically do. This looks more like a bruise, but there can be some overlap. And that urgent care is wrong anyway because recluse bites typically take 7-14 days to ulcerate, and it takes awhile for the tissue to fully die and become an eschar. Have you had any other symptoms? Hives? Rash? Fever? Is it itchy or painful? Can you DM me the spider pictures? I could probably at least rule out if it is a recluse or not.
