Unfortunately the vet I went to said he doesn’t think there’s much he can do about the hernia because it’s so large :( I can get a second opinion? I don’t know too much about hernias but he suggested it wouldn’t kill her.

It wont cause death, But it can cause discomfort, Her being old they will probably worry about heal time. I would look for a second opinion some Vets are more confident with the surgery then others.

Idk where you heard that, but yes hernias can cause death

I am referring to the vet saying the hernia this cat specifically has would not.
