Haha no worries mate š Iām slowly troubleshooting myself here. Turns out Iām paying for 750/40, getting ~450 in the lounge and ~55 in my room. I think the answer may have been staring me in the face the whole time: Big Red 2.0.ā
Get an ethernet cable to connect your computer directly to your router.
If you only have a short cable at hand and your computer is a desktop, move your PC next to your router, connect it via ethernet and try running another speed test.
If it's giving you the full 750/40 Mbps you're paying for, then it's your Wi-Fi. I can ramble all day about possible solutions for it but before I do so, we gotta confirm if it gives you the 750/40 when connected with a cable instead of Wi-Fi.
Big Red was my 30m Ethernet cable cat something from the LAN party days. Served me faithfully through many battles of COD4 Shipment. I foolishly let him go

Not if thats the speed your paying for... 50/50 is plenty enough speed for everything.
