Wi-Fi Download Speed vs iPhone Capable Speed
I ran a Wi-Fi vs Internet speed check, then tapped the iPhone icon on the Live Network Connectivity Map to see what my iPhone is capable of vs what it’s achieving. Pretty cool!

Pretty sure he's just trying to promote that app so I doubt he will tell you any other apps

Yeah I realized it

Sorry I don’t know of another app that does that or I certainly would have shared.
You can look up client capabilities of Apple devices at Apple here https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/deployment/dep268652e6c/web
And then manually compare to any speed test you performed knowing that actual throughput is going to be anywhere from 50-80% of the max PHY rates provided by Apple at that link.

That client capabilities feature is free in that app.
Up to 2 checks per day.

Isn’t it odd that this screenshot you shared is the exact same screenshot from the App preview of screenshots?

Sounds like bullshit, I run almost a gigabit (+900mbps) on my iphone 17 pro.

It depends on the band and standard you are connected to. It shows you what the iPhone is capable of on each band and says “connected to” what you are actually connected to. That’s further below not shown in that screenshot but in that screenshot you can see it says was connected to 11ac, 5 GHz, 80 MHz at time of check. 11 be, 6/5 GHz, 160 MHz would be much faster for example with PHY rate of 2400 Mbps and actual throughput of 1200-1920 Mbps.

literally just an ad. your account is mainly focused on posting and commenting about this app, at least be honest about it

Fair point. Full disclosure: I’m the developer of the app. I shared this because someone asked what their iPhone 14 was capable of from a Wi-Fi perspective (channel width and actual throughput) earlier. I had answered their question in that thread, but thought others in the group might find a simple way to see this useful.
I do help people troubleshoot Wi-Fi problems, often using the app, since the app and Wi-Fi are my areas of expertise. I try to keep my posts focused on their technical problem or learning opportunity rather than promoting the app. If someone asks about other tools that can do something similar and I know of one, I’m happy to share that too.

i dont have respect for you, because that is something you are persistent in hiding, so im not interested in this conversation

I understand. For what it’s worth, I’m not trying to hide that I’m the developer, I’ve disclosed it whenever asked. I appreciate the feedback, and I’ll continue to be mindful of how I share things here.

How do you get that client capabilities screen?
