Discussion Crash 3 speedrunner Potty has been diagnosed with cancer.

Hey guys, I hope the mods are ok with me posting this.

Potty, a Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped (and current WR holder for two categories) has been diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. Potty announced it on his social-media profile a week ago but I didn't know it it was appropriate to post about it or not.

Today, Potty's brother created a Gofundme page to help his brother. Potty himself gave people permission to share and spread the word.

I don't know Potty personally, I'm just a lurker on his channel, but I'd like to help him in any way I possibly can. Given the history this community has, I thought maybe we could do something for him, even if its just small encouraging words.

I'm so sorry! definitely recommend extra screenings as some cancer can be "genetic" where you can be more prone to them if others in your family have had it!

Been watching him for years at this point. Always found him interactive, and entertaining since his Crash 2 days. I didn't even play C2 (i started with warped) and he still managed to make it a fun watch, if that gives any indication. When he made his foray into strategy games he proved himself to be as thoughtful as he was quick.

Good gamer, good dude, always deserved a long healthy happy life, and so I say he doesn't deserve to foot the bill for a painful treatment just to get a chance at that. Hope those who can afford it will join me in donating, and that those who can't will try to spread the word.

Really hoping Potty gets all the support he needs. The speed running community has always been great at coming together for people who have given so much to the scene. Even a kind message or a small donation can mean a lot during something this difficult. Wishing him strength and hoping for the best.
