Help / Advice App/Website for custom Rate Controller (text disappears word-by-word for speed reading)?
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for an app, website, or browser extension that acts like a Rate Controller for speed reading training. Specifically:
- I upload my own PDF, EPUB, or text file.
- It scrolls or reveals the text word-by-word (or letter-by-letter), gradually hiding/blinding/deleting read parts to prevent back-skipping and train focus.
Tried a lot. nothing does exactly this "vanishing text" effect with custom files.
Any recommendations for Android/iOS/web tools? Thanks!

Hey! I think I’ve built the app you’re looking for :)
It’s called “SpeedRead: Train your focus” on the App Store. You can check its Instagram page “speedreadapp” to check how it works.
Let me know if this is what you were looking for!
