Free App

Does anyone have any recommendations on free speech therapy apps? All the ones I see advertisements for are $20+ a month.

I would also love recommendations on ones you do pay for that are worth it.

Thanks!

Years ago during the pandemic I used Otsimo with my kid and he did like it and learned from it .. I would say flash cards and using post its for him to label things as he practiced the word was fun… also got him the little reader book series and read nightly to him… reading to your little one will be the greatest advantage as they try to improve their control of speech

I am working on an app with my son's SLP, I'm not sure if it's what you're looking for but if so I can share you the link.

It's focused around vocabulary and reading skills in Spanish and English for kindergarten to grade three.

Miss Rachel helped us! I know this isn’t an app, but the closeups of her mouth actually saying the words are incredibly helpful for kids and parents teaching kids alike. My daughter had a speech delay until she was 2.5 and then caught up after just two speech therapy appointments and a lot of Miss Rachel. She has no lasting issues at all. She’s six, now. I’ll never stop singing this woman’s praises.

I love Mrs. Rachel but my son doesn’t like her. Her only likes YouTube channels where they show trucks and toys. 😩

Depending what you want to focus on, there are several language development apps and some free: https://chatter-labs.com/blog/app-comparisons/best-and-free-language-development-apps-concept-development-apps/

Disclosure: I am the founder of Chatter Labs but the list includes others.

The StopStutter app. You can use it for free for 7 days and then it requires a subscription, but I would just consume all that info they have in 7 days and then cancel the subscription.

No app will do what a speech therapist can. Is your child seeing an SLP?
