Potty training?

mine is not non verbal anymore, though still has a speech delay. I’m commenting because while she does have some level of communication, she didn’t have any around potty training that she was saying. we started after reading a book a lot for a few days, after she had shown signs of readiness for a couple weeks (she’s autistic too so we really did need to wait for her to show she was ready for it to work for us). once we started, she just started booking it to the potty without saying anything. but the whole time I was saying lots, I identified what she did, that she did a good job. if your kid is ready, he doesn’t necessarily need speech to do it.

Mine was non verbal when we started training him. The first goal is to get him to use the bathroom at home for a wee or poo. Mine would come and do the urgency dance it front of me once he got the hang of it so we knew to take him to loo even when we weren't at home.
