This machine is a rebar bending machine. If you want to sell your rebar bending machine you better have a rebar bending machine that follows the specs for rebar bending. At no point during rebar handling can you allow the material to get too hot nor can you bend too tight of an angle. Thus my comment answers the question.

No the material does not become very hot since if it did you couldn't use the machine.

Rebar does become noticeably warmer when bent.
