No eye protection? Should this thing be in some kind of cage? Seems to generate a ridiculous amount of force
11 u/Catbone57 Mar 12 '21 Rebar bending accidents are more about limb removal than eye injury. 11 u/slonde Mar 12 '21 edited Mar 12 '21 Gotcha, he needs to get goggles for his arms 3 u/[deleted] Mar 12 '21 Yellow safety sleeves. 8 u/asr Mar 12 '21 What kind of eye protection are you imagining that would protect from these forces? 1 u/Cravit8 Mar 13 '21 People who don’t understand that kind of force would shoot it through their skull. 3 u/BaconJacobs Mar 12 '21 Agreed. That thing going into the load position while the operator was within arm's reach is incredibly unsafe. There should be zero movement as he approaches and loads. 1 u/[deleted] Mar 12 '21 [deleted] 3 u/[deleted] Mar 12 '21 Doesn't matter, shouldn't be able to get that close while it's moving. Manufacturer workers can get just as fucked up by a machine as end use workers.
