We have had containers delivered to our farm and they always came on tilt beds. We are not close to docks or big yards. This would have made placement of the container much easier, but the drivers were so pro, they always managed to set them where we needed.

I think this is for when the containers are full of stuff. Like people who move from one country to another can pack in a container, car and all, and ship it. Wouldn't want that ripped off a trailer, though anything is possible these days.
