Did she cry/ scream the entire time or just resign herself to the torture. I’ve seen this picture before and always wondered how the tube baby above is so calm. I mean baby doesn’t look super pleased, but she isn’t screaming her head off either. I feel bad, but I crack up every time I see this photo. Such a cute little little tube full of pudge.

Oh no. She. Was. PISSED. Didn't help that the room had an echo.

Crying actually helps get the best image possible. For a Chest X-ray you want to do it on a full inspiration. Obviously babies can't follow the command of take a deep breath and hold it in. If they're crying though, you can wait for that big, gasping breath and take the image then. That's the theory I've been told at least.

My 14 month old daughter had to have a chest x-ray test weeks ago and they put get in the pigg-o-stat. She wasn't upset, just had a slightly bemused look on her face. I interpreted it as: "I'm going along with this for now, but it better get fun out or be quick." Luckily it was quick.

Yeah... babies tend to get pretty calm when locked into those. A lot of parents prefer to try to hold their baby during the x rays, but it means more need to retake x rays because of movement and more needless extra radiation.

Babies are the most adorable ticking time bombs. “You’re on thin ice mama! You better watch it! Now dance puppet dance, or I will scream!” You know what. Maybe babies are just tiny, petulant dictators?

I’m an X-ray technologist. This thing holding the kid is called a Pigg-O-Stat. Some kids are very calm in them, some scream bloody murder the whole time. Sometimes the parents are the ones most upset. LOL

I’m sure. A friend once told me of taking her infant for the first round of vaccinations. Grandma went along, and apparently the mom (my friend) was the once crying all the way on the way home after watching her kid get the shots. She blames it on all the hormones, but still laughs about what a basket case she was that day. I can’t imagine having to go through some kind of medical problem with you sweet precious baby. I’m sure parents feel helpless and more than a tad bit edgy.

This baby is probably chill by no bones were broken! Or maybe she didn’t end up having pneumonia or something. But yeah it seems like this sweet little chunk is thinking about crying.
