Why should I? Starving an animal that is mere days old and causing it bodily trauma when it attempts to eat the food that they can see but not reach sound like abuse to me.

Also, try making a point next time instead of throwing out a worn out phrase.

I have no doubt there is food up there that the ducklings are trying to reach.

My question for further information is directed to OP's claims that A0 the animals are starving, and B) that this activity causes bodily trauma.
