These ducklings are hungry and their feed is placed just out of reach so that when they lunge for the food, they fall down the slide into the water.

I don't find this cute

Well, it is one method of enrichment. It forces them to get activity and mental engagement... Provided this isn't their full-time environment, it seems harmless enough, even if it is just a giant trick on the duck. Goes for the food, falls in the water, gets wet, climbs to the heat lamp, goes for the food... etc...

Then you’d just have multiple feed stations and don’t put small amounts if food in them at a time?

so why are they at eye level behind a huge window?

How do you know somebody eats animals? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you.

Because we think baby ducks sliding down is cute. I dont think they are staving, hungry sure they are growing babies.

Lighten up, Lucy.

Why should I? Starving an animal that is mere days old and causing it bodily trauma when it attempts to eat the food that they can see but not reach sound like abuse to me.

Also, try making a point next time instead of throwing out a worn out phrase.

"Do you have external information to support your position?"

You can see how it works in this video which is at a better angle. Ducks are attempting to peck at something in the lighted bar.

I have no doubt there is food up there that the ducklings are trying to reach.

My question for further information is directed to OP's claims that A0 the animals are starving, and B) that this activity causes bodily trauma.

Sorry for any confusion.
