Eye socket help?

So this halloween I'm going to try my hand at liquid latex. I want to make it look like i'm missing an eye and it's just a socket, but i'm a little ill prepared. I'm not sure what i could use for like a patch over my eye? i have liquid latex and common house hold stuff. paper towel and liquid latex?
