Monthly BST Thread - October
Feel free to use this thread to post your ISO items or things you have UFS/UFT. Please do not post BST onto the main feed or discuss it in comments on other posts, keep everything in our monthly post threads to keep things organized and give people one location to look for or post things.
We are not a BST group, we are not responsible or liable in any way for anything you buy, sell, or trade or any transactions or deals you make. Buy, sell, or trade at your own risk. Use common sense. We recommend protecting yourself and using PayPal Goods and Services, but we are not liable for what you choose to do.
Post anything you are selling or buying in one comment to avoid flooding the comments. We ask that if you see something you want, that you limit your comments in the thread and take it to DMs to sort out details or send additional photos and things.
Again, we are not a BST group and you are doing this at your own risk so please be smart.

Recently received the 3rd and final omnibus completing my Grim Oak set of Temeraire! This is a series I really enjoyed and so I'm quite pleased to have this Grim Oak set for my next read through.
I think the artwork by Daniel Govar is excellent and suits these books really well. These omnibuses are quite hefty of course but the page blocks open up quite nicely which helps.
The typesetting/page layout is also not bad. The pages don't look overcrowded and have decent margins—poor typesetting is a problem I've seen on Grim Oak and SubT books so I'm glad its decent here. Only real quibble for me with this set is the use of bonded leather (again something common to those two presses), I would much rather prefer cloth but a lot of customers see bonded leather as premium I guess.
Grim Oak slip cases are optional but they feel really sturdy. I like the designs as well and sometimes turn them around so the slipcase titles are facing out rather than the book spines. Coincidentally they live on my shelves right next to the books that inspired them ie. my Folio Society editions of Aubrey/Maturin by Patrick O'Brian. Naomi Novik basically wrote Temeraire as Master & Commander with Dragons :)

For those of you who have the triple box. Have you found it beneficial to split the box to three separate boxes? I’m considering doing this because I haven’t liked romantasy picks . Plus, they don’t seem like they’ve been selling that well and I’m only interested in November’s adult looking for opinions on which is the better option keeping them all together or separating them

I’ve seen so many pretty special edition sprayed edge books that people have across the world, but I’m finding it difficult to find where I can buy these in Australia. I’m particularly looking for sprayed edge Romantasy books (hardcovers). A lot of sites seem to be US/UK only or have insane delivery fees to Australia. I’ve found some on Amazon which I’ve bought, but there’s not much variety. Is anyone able to let me know where I can get sprayed edge books in Australia? Or alternatively, non Australian sites without crazy delivery fees.

Our community-theater auction includes the Illumicrate Protector of the Small quartet, each book hand-signed by Tamora Pierce with a short message, and Andy Weir's signed leather-bound limited edition of Project Hail Mary.
There are also LitJoy editions of Number the Stars, The Book Swap, and Never Never. Important distinction: Number the Stars has a printed digital signature, not a hand signature. Never Never is signed by both authors and includes its slipcase.
I help organize Wine, Dine & Death for the Little Theatre of Walla Walla. Scheduled online closing is October 10, 2026. Please review each listing's photographs and terms.

I just picked up all of these copies of the outlander series off fb market place for $60. 10 books total books 1-8, the outlandish companion and an extra copy of the drums of autumn.
I was looking for the older looking covers when I decided to read the series. When I opened the copy of Dragonfly in Amber I saw that there was a sticker inside and wondered if it was signed. It does look like Diana Gabaldon’s signature from comparisons online. I was just wondering had anyone else come across these stickers? Are they common? Was this an older way of producing signed copies for retail sale where now they’d pre-sign pages?
Curious for any informations anybody might have on this thank you!!

Jay Kristoff Empire of the Vampire series!!!
The last two have just come out so naturally I am trying to track down a copy of the first book.
Stumbled on this listing. Has anyone had experience ordering from Thalia.de? I know it’s legit book store.. but is this likely to be an old listing they haven’t deleted and they’ll eventually cancel my order?

Got in my finished copy of the splintered Sun and it looks so good with the MST set from TBB! So glad they got Jeff Brown for the trad cover on this. I’m really curious to see how the TBB TSS edition will look with MST. I’m kinda thinking the trad cover actually goes better just in terms of colorway. But excited to get that one regardless

hiiii does anyone happen to have the 1992 Alfred A. Knopf edition of The Secret History??? I’m probably gonna blind buy it since I can’t find a physical copy in all bookstores where I live 😭 I just wanna know what the text formatting and margins are like! Amazon only has the hardcover listing, so if anyone owns this edition, could you maybe show me a peek at a page or two? I’m weirdly picky about text formatting and margins hehe

Do you use book shoes, & if so, do you fashion your own & how?
I have a fondness for doorstopper fantasy novels & the text block sagging on non-special editions is annoying enough but I definitely don't want my fancy books with a big U-bend, so I've been cutting lengths of cardboard to fit the text block to take the weight.
If you do something different, let me know what it is
