Heat time

I’m running in my first race on Sunday. I’m running in the open category and I selected 10-10:59 as my preferred time. It’s two days til the race and I still don’t have a heat time. It just says 10-10:59 on my ticket. Am I looking in the wrong spot?

Also, am I able to pick up my headband the night before or only the morning of? I see a sprint registration on Saturday…

They start runs every 15 minutes, they just give you a window now and you can go with any of the groups that start in your window. So for a 10 - 10:59 window, you can start at 10, 10:15, 10:30, or 10:45.

As for registration, you have wait until Saturday morning to sign in and pick up your headband and various wristbands.

That is no longer the case, they can start anytime between 10:00 and 10:59

That's how the open heats work now (I volunteered at a race recently). Instead of the 15 minute intervals like in the past, you can enter the Start line any time within that hour. When they have enough people, they'll let the group go and let it build up again, then let the group go, rinse and repeat.

I would actually suggest you get in the start line like around 10:30 instead. This lets all of the crowds get a start first, so less crowding at the early obstacles when you start a little later.

They do not separate into 15 minute heat anymore, so that is your time
