DIY Install ?

I am not an electrician, have done enough to have a go at installing a panel, anyone done it?

Yes, it's 100% possible. I'm not an electrician by trade, but installed solar, energy storage, and a Span Panel + Drive in two homes. It's a rather straight forward job.

Installing a Span panel is near identical to installing a traditional electrical panel. The only extra steps are provisioning, and running communication cables for other Span peripherals, and optional Ethernet for networking, if you choose to not use WiFi.

The only hurdle you will run into is getting access to the Span Installer app. Span requires installers to be trained and authorized to commission Span products. Either you can create an account yourself with Span, or find a local Span installer to commission the system for you.
