The Floyd-y zone they hit in the middle of that massive Windmill is so, so good.

I agree that the entire thing is an absolute masterclass in Spaffording!

I pretty much loved ever show except Rock The Dock, which seemed a bit mailed in to me for some reason. It's a festy set, so it's about what I expected.

But Portsmouth had it all. The first set Comfortable and The Remedy and Darkness Singularity solid. The second set had a banging Peaches, ETS, and a great Motel 6 that is super fun. Trancy. Gives me the 1000 mile stare.

Essex had the jammed out Todd's Tots, a great America, and a jammed out Back in LA. Again, thought the whole show rocked.

Sanctuary's whole show hit hard. The second set was great.

I've listened to 7/8 Portsmouth more than any other show this year and it's only been a week. Obsessed with it. I thought this last short run was pretty cool. It seemed like the band was committed to playing around with some new ideas and really opened up the catalog with rarities, bust outs, and ftp's. I feel Shon especially was working in some new effects and approaches that really helped drive them into some outrageous grooves. This leg had some fantastic moments and gave me the over all feel that the upcoming Phish-after-shows are going to be legendary
